Clark commits to Providence

October 7, 2021

16U forward Braiden Clark has committed to play Division I hockey at Providence College.

One of the more complete players in his age group, Clark was a 7th round selection of the Omaha Lancers in the 2021 USHL Phase I draft. A competitive, skilled and physical forward, Clark's hockey sense and habits have played a big role in his success.

A native of Upper Arlington, Clark spent the preseason and the USHL Fall Classic with the Omaha Lancers and has 21 points through his first 22 games for the AAA Blue Jackets 16U team this season. In 2020-21 with the Blue Jackets, Clark scored 19 goals and 43 points in 49 games at the 15-only level. He was also named to the All-Star game at USA Hockey's National Development Camp this past summer.

Clark is a physical, two-way center, who was a seventh-round selection of the Lancers in the 2021 USHL Phase I draft. His hockey sense and habits are consistently notable. Clark was sought after by numerous programs from Hockey East, ECAC Hockey, Big Ten and the NCHC.

A member of Hockey East, Providence College is coached by Ohio native Nate Leaman and won the 2005 Division I National Championship. Fellow AAA Blue Jacket alumnus Will Elger is also committed to play college hockey with the Friars.
